Il est intéressant de constater le rôle actif de Luca di Montezemolo dans le rapprochement entre Alitalia et Etihad Air. Le directeur général de la compagnie aérienne italienne, Gabriele Del Trochio a salué l’implication du président de Ferrari dans le rapprochement entre les gouvernements Italien et Abu Dhabi. L’objectif est de permettre à la première de survivre grâce à la seconde, sur un modèle semblable à ce qui avait été fait entre Air France et KLM en 2009 (la compagnie franco-hollandaise dispose d’ailleurs de 25% du capital d’Alitalia). Les discussions auront une conclusion d’ici3 à 4 semaines.

Pourquoi Luca di Montezemolo est impliqué dans ce dossier ? La réponse est simple. Il connait les coutumes d’affaires des Emirats. En 2010, FIAT a racheté 5% du capital de Ferrari qui appartenait encore à la société Mubadala Capital. Une entreprise d’Abu Dhabi a été sponsor, avec Etihad de la Scuderia Ferrari entre 2008 et 2010. Mais, il n’est pas impossible que cette implication cache un intérêt autre. Un retour d’Etihad comme sponsor de la marque italienne à l’avenir ?

It is interesting to note the active role of Luca di Montezemolo in the rapprochement between Alitalia and Etihad Air. The Director General of the Italian airline , Gabriele Del Trochio , welcomed the involvement of the President of Ferrari in the reconciliation between the Italian government and Abu Dhabi. The objective is to build a company on the same model between Air France and KLM in 2009 ( Franco -Dutch company also has 25% of Alitalia’s capital). The discussions will be a conclusion by 3-4 weeks.
Why Luca di Montezemolo is involved in this issue? The answer is simple. He knows the business of customs Emirates. In 2010, FIAT acquired 5 % stake in Ferrari still owned Mubadala Capital. A company of Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airway , which was a sponsor of the Scuderia Ferrari between 2008 and 2010. But it is not impossible that this involvement hides another interest. Etihad Airway a return as sponsor of Ferrari in the future?
