Le début de saison difficile de la Scuderia Ferrari pourrait dans les prochaines heures faire une victime du nom de Stefano Domenicali.

La 9^ème et 10^ème place de Fernando Alonso et Kimi Raikkonen à l’issu du Grand Prix de Bahreïn  a été un constat d’échec pour Luca di Montezemolo présent sur place pour soutenir son team. La stratégie mise en place par Stefano Domenicali ne fonctionne pas. L’homme pourrait partir de la direction sportive de Ferrari. Une annonce est attendue aujourd’hui ou demain, selon plusieurs sources.

Ayant pris la succession de Jean Todt en 2008, Stefano Domenicali fait partie du processus mis en place par Luca di Montezemolo, il y a une décennie, visant à remplacer les anglais par des italiens. Aldo Costa, successeur de Ross Brawn s’en est allé il y a deux ans. Il en sera de même pour Domenicali. En cas de départ de ce dernier c’est donc un aveu d’échec pour le président de Ferrari.

Si l’annonce du départ de Domenicali se confirme son remplaçant n’est pas encore connu et fait fort de spéculation. Le nom de Ross Brawn revient dans les murs de Maranello. Mais également Flavio Briatore. Finalement c’est le président de Ferrari USA, Marco Mattiarci qui prendra la place à la tête de la Scuderia.
